More exciting, Eliza has the opportunity to work with two mentors from Bentley University who will help her refine her writing skills and edit her work, with the ultimate goal of publishing.

We just re-arranged our house so Eliza can have her own writing studio (currently a work in progress). Too help her realize her dream, we are looking into writing workshops for her to attend (Mom and Amanda will tag along if they are not in Massachusetts). 'In my darkest hours, writing helped keep me sane, whether it was outlining a screenplay, writing in my journal or writing a humorous blog to let my friends and family know I was okay. 'Įliza has already written several novels, poems, blogs and screenplays, and has so much more she wants to write. Writing mentors:Eliza has an unending passion for writing. Our hope for this Gofundme page is to raise funds to enable her to realize her dreams: We are focusing on making the time she has left with us as meaningful to her and enjoyable as possible.Įliza has two main passions: writing and traveling. On Monday the 10th we learned that relapsed stage IV Neuroblastoma is not curable.Įliza is currently receiving treatment to relieve her pain and slow down the progression of this terrible disease. By Sunday the 9th, we learned her cancer had returned. On April 7, 2017, Eliza awoke in terrible pain. Ringing the bell at the end of radiation treatmentĪfter treatment and recovery, Eliza worked very hard to finish her high school degree, apply to and prepare for college.Įliza was quickly accepted to several colleges, including her number 1 college The New School (a film school), and planned to matriculate in September, 2017. Her scans were clear, and we had no idea that if a relapse was to occur, it would happen within one to two years. After a grueling 16 months of treatment, Eliza was deemed to have no evidence of disease.

In September 2014, at age 17, she was diagnosed with stage IV Neuroblastoma.

Through Eleanor, his wife, she learns far more about his life than she ever imagined. This film is a celebration of Buster Keaton, his life and legacy that ignited generations of laughter, and the love between him and Eleanor that inspired a lifetime of dedication. It follows the story of Eliza, a young girl coming to terms with the loss of her neighbourhood friend. It is an ode to old cinema, loss, and the influence that passes on. Him is a short film releasing in the summer of 2021. Quick update: We are busy working to finalize our film in post-production and the end is in sight! We have plans for everyone to see our film at a special screening online in October…but we’ll save that big announcement for later!Īs soon as we wrap up our project, we will jump on putting together and sending out those fundraising rewards!
